On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Kristin Snyder and Charu Chandrasekhar, partners in Debevoise and Plimpton’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense and Data Strategy and Security Groups, along with Christian Kelly, Xantrion’s CTO, will host a panel discussing the SEC’s proposed cybersecurity rules for registered investment advisers and funds and incident preparedness for these same firms, including a short tabletop exercise walking through a response to a fictional cybersecurity incident.
The panel discussion will focus on:
- the proposed rule requirements for RIAs and Funds;
- lessons learned from recent SEC cybersecurity exams and enforcement trends;
- cybersecurity trends, including cybersecurity risks of generative AI; and
- how to prepare for compliance with these new SEC rules, and incident preparedness generally.
The panel will be hosted at The Battery (717 Battery St., San Francisco, CA 94111). Registration will begin at 12:00pm and the program will run from 12:30-2:30pm, including lunch.
