Recruiter (Part-time, Hybrid)
Xantrion is looking for a part-time Recruiter to join our team. If you are passionate about talent acquisition and want to move into the technology industry- while working for a company that takes a people-first approach to business, we invite you to explore our recruiter position.
- Location: Hybrid (Preference for candidates within reasonable commuting distance to Lafayette, CA for occasional onsite meetings as needed).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, ideally 1:00 PM–5:00 PM PST. (Part-time, 20 -25 hours per week).
- Compensation: $30 – $45/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. (Open to W2 or 1099).
Sourcing Candidates: formulating strategies via Boolean search strings, resume database scraping, direct LinkedIn searches, and other candidate sourcing methods to uncover the Internet’s top pools of talent. Candidates should also know how strong research skills tie into the sourcing process and should be able to build out innovative searches based on creative recruiting methods.
Recruiting: conducting candidate screens, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, managing the background check process, working with hiring managers to develop candidate offers, and communicating with new hires about their first day of work.
Responsibilities:
- Build sourcing strategies to find fresh candidate talent pools creatively. Although we have developed our company’s proprietary sourcing methods, we want newer team members to contribute to our efforts to further evolve our methodology so we can stay ahead of the game in the recruiting world.
- Maintain active relationships with professional forums and LinkedIn User Groups.
- Conduct extensive research through a variety of sourcing techniques that include searching job boards, internal and external databases, social media, associations, and groups.
- Manage candidate databases (including tracking and initiating follow-ups) with the regular use of our internal ATS system.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the candidate pool that you have contacted. We stress the importance of nurturing these professional relationships so that we can find the best position for them, even if that position is some time down the road.
- Attract, screen, evaluate, and contact both passive and active candidates via phone, email, or social media.
- Post and maintain job ads on various external job search websites.
- Communicate continuously with the recruiting team and hiring managers.
- Identify areas of improvement and adapt to new technologies.
- Complete any additional tasks as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of recruiting experience in agency settings, in-house roles, or managing full-cycle recruitment.
- An undergraduate degree (e.g., BA, BS) in Business, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent research and networking skills. The ability to develop sourcing strategies for various roles and leverage referrals is important.
- Balancing time management skills with accuracy is necessary.
- Team-oriented with a high sense of urgency and motivation.
- Creative problem solver and able to work independently, but not afraid to reach out for assistance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must! Also need to be able to maintain a professional approach and attitude.
- Excellent command of spelling, grammar, and vocabulary usage. The ability to write eye-catching job ads is a plus.
- Able to take directions and learn quickly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
- Exceptional phone skills, including the ability to coordinate and execute follow-up emails and phone calls with prospective candidates.
- A grasp of what it means to employ the Relational Recruiting model; which is the ability to retain positive candidate feedback throughout the full application process, whether the candidate ends up moving forward as a hire.
- Familiarity with California hiring laws and employment regulations to ensure compliance throughout the recruiting process.
- Experience within the San Francisco Bay Area job market is a plus.
